Thinking: Revealing process

When looking at my double printed images, Bryan Schumaat wondered about revealing my process and I’ve since been thinking about ways to reveal the change and layering that takes place during double/multiple printing.

As sometimes happens, later that day, as I walked to the tram stop, I looked through the window of the gallery restaurant, admiring the Nolan paintings on the wall and thought ‘there’s one way of showing movement!’.

These wonderful drawings, which grouped together make huge murals, are like musical variations on a theme with each drawing differing from the one before.

In my context I could create groups of images that show the development from original image/s to variations on a theme.

I also thought about using:
- transparencies overlayed
- projections or mini-slideshows where one photograph morphs into the next
- vimeo/youtube with photographs morphing.
