Folio: Going black & white

After looking at the grouped images, Daniel and I wondered about going black and white as well as double printed. 

So, I converted all the billboard photographs into b&w and then selected the photographs that were most successful. Then I double-printed a new series.

Here are the most successful results.

 








I then decided to try printing transparency film and creating a third layer.

 

I liked the extra layer a lot for four reasons:

• It created a new layer of complexity
• it reduced the specificity another level
• you could see how the new layer effected the double print and
• the shiny transparencies gave the photographs an unexpected gloss.

But they're very hard to photograph! And I haven't managed to take photographs that do them justice. Yet!
